no, I'm sorry, very nice but very very unoriginal, there are tons of games like this and for some reason (you are known here) this one makes it to the front page. Graphics weren't special, sound was pretty good though

It was pretty good, but not that good.. Try to make the enemies move, make them have a line of sight instead of having them detect you as soon as you appear. The weapon switching didn't really work well, and the game was repetitive almost instantly. The graphics were a bit simple (a stick man, c'mon seriously you can do better than a stick man!). The sound was pretty good though (different sounds for different weapons, just makes it much better) But you should really work on A artificial intelligence, they were stationary guns, nothing more!
nice
I don't think it really belongs on newgrounds but it's a pretty realistic looking simulation (however the first planet suddenly changes its orbit at a certain point), but nice.
nice idea
you can actually do the hittest whatever cursor you have:
(any blank object following the mouse).hitTest(_xmouse,_ymouse ,true)
I know but the blue ball might cause some problems.

You can make the preloader much smoother if you make the loading bar filler a movieclip with a ID (like id_filler), and make it stretch, something like:
_root.id_filler._width = percentloaded

I'll give you and hint:
if (this._x > 550) this._x = 550;
if (this._x < 0) this._x = 0;
if (this._y > 400) this._y = 400
if (this._y < 0) this._y = 0;
or whatever your room's dimensions are.
Also, what the fuck does an angel need gold for? :P
too buggy
When I first played this, the bazooka didn't work at all, then I restarted, then the bazooka worked a few times, but when I switched back from uzi to bazooka it stopped working again. There's something wrong with your recharge code. Another example of that is the uzi; when they are 75% overheated, and I switch to sword, then switch back to uzi after a few seconds, it's still at 75%. Make a global instance that handles the recharging. You really needed to work more on this before submitting. Good luck on your next game!
The uzi is supposed to stay heated when you switch weapons. And how did the bazooka not work when you started?
Never seemed to have that problem.
